Letlhakeng at a glance
Letlhakeng is a village located in Kweneng District, ca. 75km north-west of Molepolole, with a population of ca. 7,229 (per the 2011 census). Letlhakeng offers primary schools and a junior secondary school, such as Mphuthe JSS and Lettlhakeng Primary School, a clinic, police station, post office, library, local government offices and services, religious facilities and a variety of restaurants and shops, such as Choppies Superstores. The village is also considered as a gateway to exploring the Kalahari and therefore benefits from a high level of passing tourists en-route to the Khutse Game Reserve and Central Kalahari Game Reserve, destinations frequented by local and international tourists.
